In our area , the MSU Vet School in Starkville and Pet Rest Guardians in Oxford offer additional options. The following is taken from a local newspaper and of course prices and services may change over time so its best to call and check. (1) MSU Vet School offers a Pet cremation service. Prices vary from $90 for cats,dogs and other small animals to around $210 for a horse. They do expect a price later this year. This cremation services includes a standard urns but other choices are available. The bodies do have to be delieved to the vet school but the sealed remains can be shipper. For more details you can contact them at 325-1104 . (2) Pet Rest Gardens in oxford The cremation cost is around $280 and up depending on animal weight. They list it as including a granite marker, use of grounds for ceremony but the urn is not included. A Pick-up service is also available for additional cost.
